Since its inception on June 12, 2004, members of the Belun team have worked across a number of programs to strengthen civil society organizations and provide needed support to communities in all 13 districts of Timor-Leste, as well as conducting extensive research to inform program and policy development across civil society and government. The Belun team draws from across the international development sector and maintains a strong relationship with Columbia University’s Center for International Conflict Resolution (CICR). The team also possesses extensive experience working with both government and non-governmental sectors, providing comprehensive insight and capacity to the organization.
